Here we are, on the brink of adoption. Little Ray, our three-year son awaits in Harbin City, China. It's a journey that formally started over 17 months ago; yet, paradoxically, it's a journey that starts tomorrow.
As many of you know, Demian and his father Bill are making the near two-week trek. Rose will continue preparing our home for Ray; and the Good Lord knows there is plenty to do with Julia, Benjamin, and Elizabeth.
The quick, high-level view of the trip is as follows:
- Nov 8-9: Fly to China via BWI-to-Chicago-to-Beijing-to-Harbin City
- Nov 10-11: Decompress and ready for Ray
- Nov 12: Should be Gotcha Day
- Nov 13-15: Various appointments and meetings
- Nov 15 or 16: Fly to Guangzhou, China
- Nov 19: Exit Interview with US Embassy
- Nov 20: Oath Ceremony
- Nov 21: Fly home to USA and have Rose hold her son
Got it? Good! We'll blog as best we can, sending pics of the on-goings.
...For anyone who has been born - um, that's ALL of you - it becomes clear that one owes so much to others in their lives (yes, even those who have pulled themselves up by the proverbial bootstraps). This holds so very true with our adoption of Ray. Family, friends, and even those who do not know us at all have contributed to this. Please know we recognize this, and that we are grateful and humbled.
With that, we leave...loaded for bear, and ready to bring home our Little Yellow-Tiger Boy.Thanks for following along. Tomorrow indeed comes...
All Our Love,
Demian and Rosalie
Julia, Benjamin, Ray, and Elizabeth

Demain!!! You're on your way!!! The time has finally come! We're thinking of you and Ray and can't wait to follow along through the rest of your story!
We're still amazed at the craftiness of the Lord to interweave our lives as He's done. I can't wait for Mario to see his friend again!
Please tell Ms. Meng and the orphanage director and teachers we said "hello!" as well as Lee!
Love,
Angel
